I guess the best place I have ever wanted to be is at home. And that is the place I miss most. However, we all have to move
out somehow to work, study or live with a relative. I am away from home to study. I hope that one day I will go back. One
thing about our culture is that unlike in the US where the kids can move out when they get to 18 yrs of age, it is required
that boys take care of their parents in old age. So they are given a place to build a house to live in their fathers land.
My home is located on Western side of Kenya. It is in Kakamega district of the Western province of Kenya. It is a purely
agricultural place with many people angaging in growing or maize and sugarcane.
My home overlooks the Nandi Escapment (check the web or Kenyan map), which gives it a great view, and which makes it
a place you would want to live. The temperatures are perfect. It is never too cold nor too hot. There is no winter, we just
have rainy and dry seasons. Its is ever green, with different kinds of indigenious trees and other plants in general. Its
so cool.
